Bergen County Awards Sculpture for Leonia a Certificate of Commendation

On June 2, 2024, Sculpture for Leonia hosted “A Celebration of Volunteers” to thank those in the community who helped Sculpture for Leonia from its beginning in 2008, to the present. Ten honorees, along with all the former and current members, were recognized for their varied contributions to Sculpture for Leonia.

The volunteers of Sculpture for Leonia were also honored by the County. Cynthia Forster, Director of the Bergen County Division of Cultural & Historic Affairs, attended the event and presented the volunteers of Sculpture for Leonia with the following Certificate of Commendation:

“In Honor and Recognition of Your Commitment to Enhance the Historically Rich Art and Cultural Environment of the Community & in Appreciation of Your Extraordinary Efforts in Promoting the Arts Throughout the County of Bergen”

The afternoon began outside in the Erika and David Boyd Sculpture Garden where appetizers were served and was followed by lunch at the adjacent Borough Hall Annex Building. In all, there were seventy-five well-wishers at the celebration.
